Forensics

Modern vehicles contain an enormous amount of data. This includes data on the condition of the vehicle (diagnostic data) but also increasingly very detailed data on the use of the vehicle by the user(s). For example, trips made with the vehicle can still be traced years later on the basis of stored GPS positions – often even if the vehicle does not have a navigation system or if it was not used at all for a trip.

Furthermore, in many cases the control units store data about communication that has taken place from the vehicle and which mobile devices or data storage devices have been connected to the vehicle. Which data a vehicle can actually contain is a complex question and the data stocks are subject to constant change in the course of software updates. For research on data content we provide the online database

EDRfinder available.

For the specific examination of vehicles or individual control units, we develop complete solutions for securing data, consisting of coordinated hardware and software.

If you have any questions about this, we look forward to your inquiry.
